What are the valid clinical reasons for exemption from the Yellow Fever vaccine?
Our doctors can provide a medical exemption certificate based on the following specific clinical indications:
- Severe allergic reactions to other vaccines or to components of the Yellow Fever vaccine
- History of anaphylaxis following a previous vaccination
- Egg allergy, which may pose a risk due to how the vaccine is produced
- Severe adverse reaction to a previous Yellow Fever vaccine
- Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS), particularly post-infection
- Moderate or severe current illness where vaccination may not be advisable
- History of myocarditis or pericarditis after any previous vaccination
- Age over 60, as older adults may have a higher risk of complications
- Infants under 6 months, who are not eligible for this vaccine
- Weakened immune system, including individuals with conditions like leukemia or lymphoma
- Immunosuppressive treatment, such as chemotherapy or long-term steroid use
- Thymus gland disorders or history of thymus gland removal
- Close family history of severe vaccine reaction, especially if it caused brain or organ damage
If you believe you fall into any of the above categories and have medical evidence confirming the above – our Doctors can provide you with this yellow fever exemption certificate.
