Depending on your holiday provider’s cancellation terms, you may be able to cancel or reschedule your holiday with a medical certificate, particularly if you have a health condition that will affect your holiday or travel plans.

It is important to check your provider’s cancellation policy before obtaining this type of certificate.

You should check your holiday or travel provider’s cancellation policies as your first step. Once you have confirmed a refund or reschedule can be granted due to medical reasons you can obtain a cancellation certificate from ZoomDoc, which will provide sufficient evidence that you are within your rights to cancel or reschedule your holiday.

After purchase, you will receive a unique certificate booking reference number, which will allow you to upload your medical evidence via a simple form.

To allow us to assess your condition and issue a medical certificate, we will require the following information:

• A photo of your passport
• Confirmation of when your sickness or condition started
• Whether your sickness is ongoing, or you are now recovered
• A 30-second to 1-minute video describing your medical symptoms
• Details of your regular Doctor (if you have one)

You may be able to cancel your flights due to a number of medical reasons, including:

• Sickness
• Injury
• Death of a family member or travel partner
• Unforeseen medical restrictions (Such as COVID restrictions)

Once your medical evidence has been checked your certificate will be authorised and signed by one of our selected Doctors.

All our doctors are UK GPs registered with the GMC (General Medical Council) and work as GPs within the NHS.

Zoomdoc Health is an authorised medical provider regulated by the Care Quality Commission. Our contact details will be shown on your certificate with a QR code enabling a verification check of your certificate.

Our doctors thoroughly review your medical evidence and may call you if they have any questions.

If for any reason, we are unable to validate your evidence or are unable to supply you with you a certificate you will be notified and given a full refund.

If you require an additional form to completed as part of your holiday cancellation, our doctors can undertake this after we have validated your initial travel and holiday cancellation certificate.

There is an surcharge of £25 for each additional form that needs to be signed.
