Fit-to-cruise medical certificate

Fit-to-cruise medical certificate

If you’re planning to take a voyage on a cruise ship to the Arctic or Antarctic, on an expedition, or if you are pregnant – you may require a fit-to-cruise certificate confirming that you are fit to travel.

Our doctors can provide you with a same-day medical certificate that will confirm you are in good health and have no conditions that should prevent travel. No appointment is needed – simply apply online.

What will I receive?

You will receive a verifiable digital PDF letter signed by a medical professional and sent directly to your mobile, containing the following details:

  • Your name and date of birth.
  • A statement confirming that you are in good health and fit to travel.
  • Signature and authorisation by one of our GMC-registered UK doctors.
  • Contact details of ZoomDoc Health with a QR code enabling a verification check.

Please note: Our fit-to-cruise medical certificate expires 90 days after the date of issue.

Cannot recommend enough

Cannot recommend enough, was advised my GP could take over 28 days to come back with a travel letter but I was going on a cruise in 7 days, within an hour I had a note to say I was fit to board the cruise and plane being 23-24 weeks pregnant, without these guys I would have lost thousands.

Friendly, helpful team

We had struggled for several weeks to find a medical facility to review our health details and confirm us as fit to travel on an Antarctic cruise. We rang ZoomDoc this morning and by this afternoon we were able to submit our health forms. The team were very friendly and really helpful.

Needed a "Fitness to Travel"

My wife and I needed a medical certificate to go on a cruise to Antarctica with Hurtigruten in October. We found out quite late that our surgery has a policy of not signing these type of forms. My doctor was prepared to provide a letter saying the information in the cruise line's form was accurate but couldn't sign the form. ZoomDoc created a service to meet our needs at very short notice (within hours) and at a very reasonable cost.

Medical Screening Form for a cruise...

I needed a Medical Screening Form signing for the travel company Hurtigruten before I would be allowed to go on a cruise to Antarctica. My GP will not sign any private forms and it was proving difficult to find a solution. I contacted ZoomDoc and they completed the forms within a day even though it is not a service listed on the website. A couple of phone calls sorted it all out.
