Do you need a medical to work on a cruise ship?
Any crew working on a cruise ship will; be subject to medical, physical, and mental health examinations to determine their ability to keep a ship or seafaring vessel running safely and efficiently. All crew members on a ship have a vital role to play in the safety of the vessel’s passengers. As such, maritime authorities require all staff to satisfy certain examination conditions to ensure they can safely perform their duties, and are fit to undertake emergency procedures should they be required.
