About this certificate

Medical certificate of good health for visa

Medical certificate of good health for visa

To obtain an international visa for travel to many countries (see below), you will be required to submit a medical certificate of good health (IHR 2005) as part of the application documentation.

All our doctors are fully registered with the FCDO (Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office) and can provide you with a same-day medical certificate as a PDF; the original with a wet signature will be posted the next working day via Royal Mail Tracked 24. No appointment is needed – simply apply online.

What will I receive?

You will receive a verifiable letter signed by a medical professional, sent directly to your mobile and posted to your home, containing the following details:

  • Your name and date of birth.
  • A statement confirming you do not suffer from any disease that could cause serious repercussions to public health, according to the specifications of the International Health Regulations (IHR) of 2005.
  • Signature and authorisation by one of our GMC and FCDO-registered UK doctors.
  • Contact details of ZoomDoc Health with a QR code enabling a verification check.

Important – Which countries can I use this certificate for?

The medical certificate for good health can be used for travelling to many countries, including:

  • Barbados
  • Bermuda [chest x-ray may also be required]
  • Cyprus
  • Greece [BCG vaccination or chest x-ray may also be required, plus an additional form]
  • Indonesia [chest x-ray and HIV test also required]
  • Mozambique
  • Philippines
  • Singapore [chest x-ray and HIV blood test also required]
  • South Africa [chest x-ray and HIV test also required]
  • Spain
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam
Please note: Some countries require additional forms to be signed as part of visa application, so please check with the country you are visiting for exact requirements.

How does it work?

Following the purchase of your medical certificate of good health, you will be asked to upload medical evidence by completing a short online form and submitting a 30-second to 1-minute video confirming your identity and that you are fit and well.

You will also be asked to upload your digital Summary Care Record, which details current and past medical health conditions, medications and immunisations. This can be accessed on request from your GP surgery, or via the NHS app (if linked with your surgery).

Your evidence is then reviewed by our doctors, prior to issuing your medical certificate of good health. If our doctors have any further questions, they may give you a quick call.

Accepted worldwide, this medical certificate is signed by a UK FCDO-registered doctor and includes a QR code enabling verification.

What will I need to supply?

To allow us to assess your condition and issue a medical certificate, we will require the following information:

  • A photo of your passport or driving license
  • Your completed online medical form
  • Your digital Summary Care Record
  • Details of your regular NHS GP (if you have one)

Our simple online process:

Step 1 - Upload video evidence, Step 2 - Doctor validates, Step 3 - Receive digital document same day, Step 4 - Receive hard copy document

An amazing service… above and beyond

ZoomDoc issued us with medical certificates which we needed as part of our visa application for residency in Spain. The whole process was super quick and efficient. We sent this document off to be translated and it was lost by the courier on its way back to us. I emailed ZoomDoc who rang me immediately and issued replacements within minutes. An amazing service. I would recommend to anyone.

Quick and helpful service!

I found ZoomDoc online as I needed an FCDO approved doctor to issue a medical certificate for my visa. The process was really quick and easy to do and I received confirmation of my medical certificate within an hour of completing the questionnaire and the signed and stamped certificate was sent to me by first-class post the next day. The staff I spoke to were extremely polite and helpful and the service was a lifesaver as other doctors require in-person appointments at twice the cost! 10/10 recommend.
