How to take your home blood test

” If you get little exposure to the sun, suffer from milk allergies or adhere to a strict vegan diet you may be at risk for vitamin D deficiency. Often known as the sunshine vitamin, this vitamin is produced by the body in response to your skin being exposed to sunlight.

It is also occurs naturally in a few foods; including fish, fish liver oils, egg yolks and in fortified dairy and grain products.

Essential for strong bones, as it helps the body use calcium from the diet. Research also reveals the importance of vitamin D in protecting against a host of health problems.”
